Lens 4 : Awesome People!

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN :)

Photographers are individuals who basically love to take pictures. Photography can be a hobby for some people but there are those who also consider it as a profession. Here are 5 world’s greatest photographers!

1

BERENICE ABOTT

Berenice is an American photographer born in 18
98. She discovered her love for taking images in 1920. She started as a studio assistant to then American expatriate in Paris, Man Ray. When she had her own studio, Berenice started taking pictures of some of Paris’ intellectuals like Eugene Atget and James Joyce. When she returned to the US, she started taking pictures of agricultural landscapes which then lead to the conceptualization of “Changing New York”.
2

ADAM ANSEL

Known for his black and white landscape photography, Ansel Adams is also considered an environmentalist. He was born in San Francisco California in 1902 and started to learn how to play piano when he was 12. But with his obvious love for nature, as evidenced by his long walks via the Golden Gate, he gave up music for photography. From there, he started taking pictures every time he explored nature. Some of the great works of Ansel were published by the Sierra Club in 1922. It was in 1927 when he worked on “Monolith, the Face of Half Dome”.
3

 EUGENE ATGET

Born in 1857 in Libourne, France, he was forty years old, when he started taking photographs. He viewed himself as more of a skilled worker than a photographer. He sold his photographs to architects, city administrators and decorators. He made use of a plate camera and a tripod to take pictures while he printed his outputs on a gold-toned paper. When he met Berenice Abbott in 1926, the latter helped him publicize his work. A year later though, he died but left behind 2,000 pieces of empty glass plates and 10,000 prints.
4

RICHARD AVEDON

Richard Avedon was born in 1923 in New York. He has seen his works as reflections of himself. He said that his shots were concerned about human predicament and these predicaments were simply his own. He was noted for the brilliance of his images which he started to produce in 1944. His photographs were first recognized in the advertising industry. Richard Avedon made a trademark to his pictures in that he took images of people with only a portion of their bodies shown in the final output.
5

FELICE BEATO

Born in Italy in 1832, Felice devoted much of his time taking photographs in Asian countries like India and Japan as well as in the Near East like Constantinople, Crimea and Athens. Basically, his images had some connection with the remnants of war. If there is one famous photograph he had taken, that would be a picture of the Opium War which he captured in 1860.
Aside from the five names mentioned above, there are also other people who have made a mark in the world of photography. Some of the best ones include Edouard Boubat, Margaret Bourke-White, Bill Brandt and Rene Burri. Here are the awesome people! Enjoy your day :)

Lens 3 : Photography.

People, look at this! :)

What is it about photography that makes it such a powerful medium? Clearly the technological innovation of capturing images has inspired and found numerous commercial applications since it's invention.

When a viewer takes in a photograph they don't just see the factual recording of a subject, they bring to it an interpretation based on their experiences and desires. A photograph can represent numerous things including an icon, an idea, a memory, an emotion, a fear, or an aspiration

A photograph offers each viewer a unique experience. Each person bringing a piece of themselves, a result of their unique journey through life, to each image they view. In this regard a photograph has a life of its own with the camera and photographer being a conduit to the energy of those viewing it.

The power of photography is universal, the power of creation by the photographer; the power of interpretation and meaning by the viewer. The power of photography and its global influence would not exist with out either of these components. It is for this reason photography continues to be respected and feared.

Lens 1 : Photo and memory!

Hi people! Hi world! This is my first time blogging. I create this lovely blog for my tutorial. I was required to choose a topic for my blog. And tadaaaaa! Here it is! I choose photography as the topic for my blog because I found that the topic is very interesting and it comes from my soul. So guys, let's check this out! :)

Dear people out there!
Why a photo is very important?

I bet you guys must be wondering why is it so important. Whether we realize it or not, a photo is very important because every piece of it has it own music. Every photos gives you spirits that you also did not notice it a first.

You don't believe me?
YOU SHOULD BELIEVE ME.

My Family

This photo was taken when I was 5 years old. See? I still remember when the photographer told me to smile, told dad to move his head to the left a bit. I still remember those moments. Can you imagine what if I do not have this photo? How can I reminisce those beautiful memories? This is what I called the SPIRITS. We, the humans cannot always remember all the memories that come into our life. So that is why, when you took a picture, you should keep it because we cannot predict what will happen to us and it will be a WASTE for letting the memories gone.

Is it for real?

Yes it is for real, my dear people! Photo is like a time capsul. It is a recording of that event at that place and time. Once the button has been pushed and the photo has been taken, it is then HISTORY and MEMORY.
